One Month Old!

Well Spirit is now a month old, he got his stitches out today and he is doing really well the vet said! now all we need to wait for is his last wound to close. He is also walking around and playing. I thought he would have a hard time learning, but Spirit proved me wrong lol. Other than that he’s just another pup.

Introduce ourselves!

Hello all,

My name is Paige and I’m raising my first Tripawd, and by raising I mean raising. Hes only a week old pup and just had his right rear leg amputated. Why you ask? Well what I came to find out his mom, who is a super clingy dog, has been super jealous about the new pup and I and she bit him. Twice. So now I keep him and her separated, which means I have to do all the feeding, cleaning, making him go potty, and everything in between. So lets see how all this goes! 🙂

As Spirit gets older and does more than just eat and sleep I will start posting about his journey. All the ups, downs, trainings, and anything else I can post about.

Yours truly,

Paige and Spirit

Newborn!

Well I’m new here and decided to make an account because I have a newborn pup that is 4 days old and will be going in this friday morning to get his back right leg amputated. His name is Spirit and he truly has lived up to it. Now my question is, will I need to do anything special for him? My vet said he will grow up not knowing any different, with that being said is there anything I will actually have to worry about or (since hes a pup) will it even hold him back?

Thank you in advanced!
